Beyond Samsung and Amazon, there is a long list of Android tablets in local homes and businesses. They share the same faults, but parts are easier to get for some brands than others, so we always check availability for your exact model before we promise anything.
Brands and common faults
Lenovo: Tab M, Tab P, Idea Tab and Yoga Tab
Lenovo tablets are popular for families and as shop or kitchen screens. Cracked screens, worn charging ports and batteries are the usual jobs. Yoga Tab models have a built-in stand and a different internal layout. Parts for popular Tab M and Tab P models are generally available.
Xiaomi Pad and Redmi Pad
Good value tablets with large, sharp screens. Screen and battery repairs are possible on most models, though parts sometimes come from further afield and take longer.
Huawei MatePad
Newer Huawei tablets do not include Google services such as the Play Store, Gmail or YouTube apps. If that is the problem rather than a fault, we can explain the options. Hardware repairs are possible, but parts can be limited.
Honor, Nokia, TCL, Alcatel and others
We can look at most Android tablets. For less common brands, we check whether parts exist before you commit to anything.
Repairs we carry out
- Screen replacement where parts are available.
- Battery replacement, including swollen batteries.
- Charging port cleaning and replacement.
- Cameras, speakers and buttons.
- Software faults, resets and help recovering your Google Account.
- Setting up a replacement tablet and moving your things across.
Talk to the team
Tell us the model and what it is doing. We will say honestly what is likely to be involved and the quickest safe way to help.
When a repair is not worth it
Some budget tablets cost less to replace than to repair, and some older ones no longer get security updates. In those cases we tell you, help you choose a replacement that fits how you use it, move your photos and apps across, and wipe and recycle the old tablet securely.
The visit and turnaround
Bring the tablet and its charger to our workshop near Kingsbridge by arrangement. We diagnose it, check parts availability, and agree the outcome and the price before work starts. Popular Lenovo parts usually arrive within a few working days; some other brands take longer, and we tell you before you decide.

Lenovo, Xiaomi and Huawei tablet repair: your questions
Can you repair my Lenovo tablet screen?+
Usually, yes. Parts for popular Lenovo Tab M and Tab P models are widely available. We confirm the part for your model before work starts.
My Huawei tablet has no Google Play. Is it broken?+
Probably not. Newer Huawei tablets are sold without Google services. We can explain what that means for the apps you need and the alternatives.
Can you get parts for less common tablets?+
Often, but not always. We check availability for your exact model and tell you honestly before you commit.
Will my photos be safe?+
Most screen, battery and port repairs do not touch your data. Back up to Google Photos or another cloud service first if you can, and we will talk it through.
